I am a modern man. My body is my temple. I eat clean, exercise often, moisturise daily and aim to carry myself like my grandfather carried himself. I travel as often as I can and keep up to date with current affairs & the technological world we live in. This blog has no sole purpose or genre. It's about man stuff.
I want to share these great findings.

Ascari Bicycles

I believe every item you own or utilise is an extension of yourself. With this ideology engrained in my psyche I tend to favour craftsmanship & design over utility more often than not. The subject of this post embodies the aforementioned qualities quite superbly.
Ascari bicycles are handcrafted in the USA. The founders Helio Ascari & Gary Mathis set out to build the most aesthetically pleasing & finest bicycles in the world. Each bike is a literal masterpiece... I'm confident in saying they succeeded. Each bike is built form scratch once you have place dour order. You can have as much or little influence on the final design as you desire. The result will be costly (please enquire @: www.ascaribicycles.com) but breathtaking. For me, that is worth an unlimited amount of investment.
The next time you are in the market for a bicycle look no further then these masters of the trade. Plus, riding is good for you... JB

Larose

Hello Gentleman. Historically I have never been a fan of wide & short brimmed hats. I manage to tolerate the occasional baseball cap (for convince purposes), but Larose has managed to change my perception & ideologies about hats for good.
Premium hatmaker Larose Paris releases its largest-ever collection for the fall/winter season, featuring 76 styles in total. The collection uses the highest quality natural materials paired with clever details, and is split into two parts. There are the traditional hats made of waterproof rabbit felts, encompassing 32 styles of wide- and short-brimmed fedoras, and then there are the caps, available in 44 styles of five-panel and baseball caps, using materials such as Italian Casentino wool and Moon flannel from England. If you are in a 'daring' mood I suggest you take a step out of your comfort zone and invest in a Larose hat. JB

Drink

Today's post is about a very special bottle of vodka. Even if vodka isn't your spirit of choice it is a necessary staple in your spirits cabinet. The bottle was designed by American painter John Alexander and is a true masterpiece. The bottle is so unique in fact that it took two years for the factory to begin production. I can comfortably say that the bottle doubles up as an impressive addition to any art collection. So what is this bottle of vodka I'm talking about? It's Dan Aykroyd's crystal head vodka. It happens to be additive-free too... a handy selling point for all you alcoholic homeopaths out there. You can purchase a bottle from 31dover.com. Enjoy it gentleman. JB

MH40

I have never been an advocate of chunky headphones but this particular pair may have changed my mind. Master & Dynamic have popped onto the scene quite suddenly, and if these beauties (MH40) are anything to go by they are definitely here to stay. These headphones offer some grown up luxe to the headphone market. Perfect for sitting back and listening to your favourite tracks in your coffee shop of choice on a lazy Sunday afternoon. Pair this head-candy with a cashmere hoodie, fitted chinos and your favourite sneakers and you are good to go. JB

Resurection Dust

More and more men are expanding their toiletry collections. The modern man does groom. A lot. Not because it is vain and feceitious but because in a world where image holds great significance we want to look our best. Today I want to introduce you to a hairstylist's biggest trade secret; hair dust! Most men, including myself, have a go to hair wax or pomade in their bathroom but I doubt many have a hair dust. In essence hair dusts add volume and texture. They create friction between the hair fibres leaving you with a thicker fuller do. Not a bad thing. Especially if you have noticed that receder creeping back. These hair dusts work equally well on straight or curly hair. And don't worry if you're hair is already thick, the dust will only create some awesome looking separation. My favorite is by Label M. Their product is called resurection dust. Give it a go, you won't regret it. JB

Workout

I am no stranger to workouts. Working out for many years has enabled me to sift through masses of exercises narrowing them down to the ones that work best for me. I have some staple favorites for each muscle group that I believe give me the biggest gains in the shortest amount of time. Undoubtedly my favorite core exercise is the dragon flag. The dragon flag has singlehandedly given me greater results than the entire combination of my remaining core exercises. To perform the dragon flag:
Lie on a bench and grip it behind your head. Swing your legs overhead until your body is nearly vertical. Keep your core tense. Lower slowly and repeat to failure. Simple yet massively effective. JB

Aesop

If you have some spare change laying around then ditch the febreze and opt for something a little more special; Aesop's post-poo drops. Most of us are familiar with the rise of Aesop's dominance in the skincare market but few are aware that the brand has branched out a little to include products such as deodorant, mouthwash and something to deal with disagreeable smells. I am aware that this might appear to be some kind of extravagant joke but let me assure you that these little drops of citrus heaven are surprisingly effective. At least you will now have best smelling washroom in town. JB
