I am a modern man. My body is my temple. I eat clean, exercise often, moisturise daily and aim to carry myself like my grandfather carried himself. I travel as often as I can and keep up to date with current affairs & the technological world we live in. This blog has no sole purpose or genre. It's about man stuff.
I want to share these great findings.

JIVE

Gentleman, I feel this is a suitable follow on post from the Vulpine blazer. It's one of highest demanded bikes on the cycle market right now; the JIVE bike. There are two unreal facts about this bike: 1- it is entirely foldable allowing you to pick it up and take it with you (yes it is light enough, just 15kg), and 2- it is electric. The bike can go up to 20 miles before it needs a recharge. The manufacturers add that the electric motor makes it feel like you are always riding downhill. One final awesome feature is the bikes ability to connect to your smartphone with an intelligent dashboard allowing the JIVE app to take care of your upcoming trip. It's pretty pricey, but it is damn cool. JB

Vulpine + Oliver Spencer

A lot of men have resorted to cycling to work. With the heavy traffic & parking problems in most cities why wouldn't you? Plus it's a great way to get a time effective workout in. One of the biggest things that has changed in recent years is the esthetic appeal of both bikes & bike related gear. We should probably thank the hipsters in Shoreditch for that. I stumbled across a really awesome cycling blazer. Yes blazer. It's a collaboration between Vulpine & Oliver Spencer and the result is highly desirable. It's full of tech including showerproof fabric & reflective details. Gentleman, if you're a cycle type of guy, this is a good buy. JB

Monmouth

The best espresso in London can be found at Monmouth. The company prides itself on comprehensive sourcing & roasting processes. The beans are brought in from the 4 main regions on the world bean belt, Guatemala, El Salvador, Ethiopia and Indonesia to name a few, and their organic whole milk comes from Jeff Bowles in Somerset. The Covent Garden branch is the crowning jewel of the company where you can easily queue for over 15 minutes for your morning latte. A wait well worth it. If I happen to be in town I occasionally pop in and purchase a bag of ground coffee for the cafetiere. One of the best cups of home brew you will ever sip. Manoftheworld.com

When you purchase a vehicle, whatever your budget may be, you have two choices: buy a 'lesser' new car or a 'greater' second hand car. I prefer the later option. There is something special about great cars regardless of their age. Recently I have developed a great appreciation for vintage cars. Vintage cars of all forms really. I have a great treat for you today...Go check out the automotive collection on Manoftheworld.com. The site has a very exclusive range of vintage cars, all in prestige condition, for sale. Some of which are particularly rare. I have fallen in love with this 230 SL coupe (featured below). It could be yours. JB

Burger and Lobster

If you are ever looking for a quick & impressive lunch or dinner look no further then Burger and Lobster.
The name tells you everything you need to know about the menu. You basically have 3 options: Buger, full lobster and lobster roll. Each served with a side salad and fries for a reasonable £20. You could always order extra sides if you wish. My personal favorite is the lobster roll. You cannot book in advance. The restaurant works on a first come first serve basis. There a few dotted around the city of London. I really like the Knightsbridge venue in Harvey Nics. Gentleman, if you haven't, you really should check it out. JB

R1

Like most men, I occasionally suffer with ingrown hairs (especially on the neck). To combat this I have really taken a liking to traditional wet shaving with a good brush and DE razor. Alternatively I occasionally whip out the beard trimmer and keep a short maintained stubble. Both solutions have worked excellently. This said, nothing can beat the ease, comfort and results of a simple Gillette Mach 3 blade. Sure I still get the odd ingrown but the process is quick and effective when going clean. The majority of barbers would recommend a 3 blade cartridge (Mach3) over a 5 blade one (fusion/hydro 5) any day of the week. Primarily because you simply don't need 5 blades running over your face. The extra blades often just cause irritation. To upgrade my Mach 3 I bought a Bolin Webb R1 razor handle and stand. It's sleek, well made and visually appealing. This set looks great in any bathroom. Available at Harrods and Fortnum & Mason or alternatively online. JB

Instagram kicks

If you are anything like me then Instagram is a great pastime of yours. We all have a mild obsession with our phone snaps and with the plethora of editing apps available, these snaps morph into some decent photography. Adidas is introducing a new version of the ZX Flux that allows you to customise your trainers with photos from your Instagram on the Mi Adidas app. I'm not a big fan of wearing sneakers on a regular basis (apart from workout time) but this interesting idea by Adidas might have just changed my mind. No selfies please! JB
